Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Recalert (recalert.us) is a product recall monitoring service operated by VARGER GROUP LLC, 171 Town Park Dr, Conroe, TX 77304, USA. For any privacy request, write to sales@vargersoft.com.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: the email address and password you use to create an account. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth; passwords are stored hashed by Supabase and are never visible to us.
• Catalog data: the product information you upload (CSV files containing SKU, UPC, brand, model and similar fields). This is your business inventory data, not personal data about third parties.
• Payment data: subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Recalert never receives or stores card numbers; we only keep the subscription status, plan and Stripe identifiers needed for billing.
• Alert emails: recall alerts and transactional messages are sent through Resend from alerts.recalert.us, which processes the recipient address and delivery status.
• Basic usage data: standard site analytics such as pages viewed and errors, used to keep the service working.

3. How we use your data

• To operate the public recall search and the matching engine that cross-references your catalog against CPSC, FDA, NHTSA and FSIS recalls.
• To send you recall alerts and expiration notices by email.
• To process payments, manage your subscription and issue receipts.
• To provide customer support and respond to your messages.

4. Who we share data with

We share data only with the service providers required to run the product: Supabase (database, authentication and hosting of your account and catalog), Stripe (payment processing) and Resend (email delivery). Each provider only receives what it needs to perform its function.

We never sell your data to third parties, and we do not share your catalog with other customers or advertisers. We may disclose data if legally required by a valid order from a competent authority.

5. Your rights

You may request an export of your data, correction of inaccurate data or deletion of your account and catalog at any time by writing to sales@vargersoft.com. We respond to these requests within 30 days.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and catalog data while your account is active. If you cancel your account, uploaded catalog data is deleted within 30 days. Billing records are kept longer where tax or accounting law requires it.

7. Cookies

Recalert uses only essential cookies and local storage needed for session, authentication and your language and theme preference. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with row-level access rules so each account can only reach its own catalog and alerts. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data with industry-standard measures.

9. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, when relevant, notify account holders by email.
