(PTIC) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Stratos DMT-400, DTM-600, DMT-1000, DMD-400, DMD-600, DMD-1000, SG-400I, SG-600I, and SG-1000I Asphalt Distributor trailers manufactured October 1, 2014, to October 20, 2016. The weight of the affected trailers, when the tank is fully loaded, may exceed the axle manufacturer's maximum load bearing capacity.
What to do
PTIC will notify owners, and dealers will replace the axles with upgraded ones, free of charge. The recall began on December 23. 2016. Owners may contact PTIC customer service at 1-518-218-7676.
