What's the hazard
Midwest Fire Equipment & Repair Company (Midwest) is recalling one 2017 All-Poly Series vehicle. The stop light switch on this vehicle may not illuminate the brake lights when the brakes are applied. As such, this vehicle fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.
What to do
Midwest will notify the owner, and a Peterbilt dealer will inspect and replace the affected brake light switch, free of charge. The recall began on February 10, 2017. Owners may contact Peterbilt customer service at 1-940-591-4000 or Midwest customer service at 1-800-344-2059.
