What's the hazard
Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2014 IC Bus CE, 2019 IC Bus CE, and 2022 IC Bus CE school buses. These buses are not equipped with enough emergency exits. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release.
What to do
Dealers will install two additional emergency exit windows, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 6, 2021. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 21506.
