What's the hazard
Braun Industries, Inc. (Braun Ambulances) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Demers FXP174 ambulances. The floor may have insufficient strength to secure the seats in position during a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, "Seating Systems" and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages.
What to do
The remedy is currently under development. All affected vehicles were repaired by June 22, 2026. Owners may contact Braun Ambulances' customer service at 1-800-363-7591. Braun Ambulances number for this recall is 2026-1.
